Community Outreach Ministry
In the Great Commission Jesus said, (“Go to the people of all nations and make them my disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father the son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them everything I have told you.”
To ignore this commission is to be disobedient, because God holds us responsible for unbelievers who live around us. The Bible sas “You must warn them so they may live; If you don’t speak out to warn the wicked to stop their evil ways they will die in sin. But I will hold you responsible for their death”.
The purpose of this ministry is to provide encouragement and hope to the unchurched by bringing them into a relationship with God and help the unchurched apply biblical truth to their real life experience(s).

Prospect 2000
This development is comprised of 23 acres of land located in the growing LeBleu Settlement of Calcasieu Parish. It has been in the possession of Greater St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church (GSM) since 1991. Our updated plans for the property is a Three Phase initiative: I. Approximately 10½ acres are planned to be developed into a 3300-plot cemetery, to be operated by our church’s non-profit Greater St. Mary Community Development. II. Approximately 5 acres are reserved for a potential site for the GSM East location if needed. III. The remaining 7½ acres are planned to be developed into a Senior Housing development.

TRACT Ministry
A tract is a short, simple presentation of the gospel message, printed in convenient pocket size, designed for easy distribution and use. There is probably no easier, more convenient way to share the Good News of Jesus Christ than through the use of gospel tracts. Many people have been led to Christ in this way. Consider these features of such a ministry:
- There is no certain time or amount of time required - just whenever the opportunity arises.
- Tracts can be left anywhere or shared with almost anyone.
- There are tracts for every occasion, for every need, and for every type of person.
- Tracts can be distributed by anyone, regardless of age, sex, race, or education.
- Tracts provide an easy way to "break the ice" or "open the door" to witness.
- Tracts eliminate the problem of forgetfulness or uncertainty of what to say.
- The message, since it is printed, can be taken home, re-read and studied.
- Tracts can be passed along and can therefore be used over and over again.
- Tracts can be mass distributed easily.
- Tracts are inexpensive and can be handed out liberally.
Pauline Hurst Mercy Center/Food Pantry
Recognizing that God has blessed us to be a blessing, the Pauline Hurst Mercy Center/Food Pantry serves as a vehicle to share the overwhelming abundance God has showered on us with those in need in our community. Emergency food is shared with love and respect to those who come for assistance. It is our intention that they receive not only food for their physical hunger, but generous portions of kindness and grace to feed their spiritual and emotional hungers. We believe the words of Jesus that this is one way we can respond directly to God's love for us: "For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in." Matthew 25:35

Our programs serve all ages of youth. Cub Scouting is for boys in grades 1-5, Boy Scouting is for boys 11-18, Venturing is for boys and girls 13-21, and Exploring is a career-education program for high school youth.
Reach Out and Touch Ministry
We have a team of individuals that take time out of their busy schedules to go to our local hospitals and share God’s love and the good news of the Gospel with those in hospital waiting rooms. We bless these individuals with a small gift bag of snacks and spiritual comfort.
Many have been blessed and encouraged by this ministry during times of healing and recovery, and our volunteers have in turn been blessed through their participation.
